Coordination Workshop in the Participation of Nine Local Governments of Madhesh Province

On 9^th September 2022 a coordination workshop with 9 local governments of Madhesh Province   was organized in Bardiwas, Mahottari. The objective of the workshop was to explore the possibility of establishing partnership between SAMRIDDHI and local governments for implementing vocational skills training related activities in respective local governments.  In the workshop, there was participation of Mayors, deputy mayors and other elects as well staff from local governments including Dhangadhimai municipality, Bardiwas municipality, Nagrain municipality, Lalbandhi municipality, Harion municipality, Brindawan municipality, Kshireshornath municipality, Ishowerpur municipality, Karjanaha municipality. Mr. Moti Giri, Corridor Coordinator of SAMRIDDHI initiated the workshop by elucidating the objective of the workshop. Mr. Raju Gadtaula, Monitoring Officer of SAMRIDDHI made the participants introduced with SAMRIDDHI Project. Mr. Sandip Poudel, Team Leader for Decent Jobs of SAMRIDDHI oriented the participants on working modality and outcome-based payment approach of Decent Jobs. Mr. Saroj Guragain, Project Manager of SAMRIDDHI concluded the workshop by thanking the participants and stating the project’s plan to collaborate with the local governments for imparting skills training to unemployed youths for ensuring their gainful employment.
