Conduction of a Coordination Workshop in the Participation of Three Local Governments of Province 1 on 5th September 2022

On 5^th September 2022, a coordination workshop with three local governments namely, Myanglung, Bhojpur and Phedap was organized in Hile, Dhankuta. The objective of the workshop was to explore the possibility of establishing partnership between SAMRIDDHI and local governments for implementing vocational skills training related activities in respective local governments.  In the workshop, there was participation of Mayors, elects and staff from Myanglung and Bhojpur municipality along with the staff of Phedap Rural Municipality. Mr. Saroj Guragain, Project Manager of SAMRIDDHI, commenced the workshop by welcoming the participants and stating the project's plan to collaborate with local governments for conducting vocational skills training related activities to equip unemployed youths for ensuring their decent employment. Mr. Sandip Poudel, Team Leader for Decent Jobs of SAMRIDDHI introduced the participants to working  modality and outcome-based payment  approach of  Decent Jobs. In the workshop, Bhojpur and Myglung Palikas committed to contribute 25% cost for conducting vocational skills training whereas Phedap Rural Municipality committed to contribute 10% cost for imparting training and employment services within its territory in upcoming third round of Vocational Skills Training under subcomponent 1.3 (Decent Jobs) of SAMRIDDHI.
