MSP Workshop on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants(MAPs)

Janakpur Corridor Office, Bardibas: Rural Enterprises and Remittances Project (RERP)/SAMRIDDHI organized 2 days’ Multi Stakeholder Platform (MSP) Workshop beginning from 15th-16th November, 2018 on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs). Total of 50 participants representing MAPs producers, Traders, Exporters and Enablers signed in the program.Both individual and group farmers of different parts in Province 1 &2 such as from Kolbi, Dhalkebar, Bateswor, Lalbandi, Shantipur, Kishan Nagar, Sagarnath, Inaruwa, Belbari participated the program. Local MAPs processors and processors/traders among others were Ohm Herbal, Ohm Prakash Herbal, Choden Wong Farm, Annapurna Aroma, Jay Ma Durge Medicine Processing Farm, Nandeswor Community Processing Farm. Big traders example; Everest Aroma, Natural Resource as exporters of MAPs to foreign countries plus representative from International Buyer Company participated program and shared their experiences.Mr Tahir Hussein from Government of Nepal Banaspati and Ayurbed Bibhag- Dhanusa and Mr. Bishnu Yadav from Division Forest Office, Dhanusa motivated participants on importance and commercial value of MAPs farming.RERP Project Manager, Mr Saroj Prasad Guragain chaired the program. IFAD Consultant Mr Sanjeeb Kumar Shrestha as the lead person facilitated the 2 days program together with RERP Project Management Team and Specialists.
