The Project Management Office of RERP coordinated three days orientation workshop together with Agriculture Enterprise Centre (AEC) for coordinators of Enterprise Service Centres (ESCs) from 23rd to 25th May 2018 at Hotel Pathivara, Itahari. All ESC coordinators of RERP from 16 project working districts including the RERP staffs participated the program.
The first day, account chief as acting project manager for RERP commenced the program then was followed by presentation on the Supply Chain and Rural Finance theme. Thematic experts from PMO explained the details on how project implements program on related theme.
In the second day, the overall overview of RER project was presented by Knowledge Management Specialist. And the sessions were expounded upon activities on the component 2 on Rural Finance and Migration. Prospects and challenges in capacity building, linkage with Rural Micro and Small Enterprises (RMSEs), outreach assistance and linkage with cooperatives were discussed under Rural Finance theme. Migration as an integral part of RERP project; Migration Specialist elaborated on issues of migration, role of project in addressing and mitigating migration related issues and of establishing Migration Information Centres(MICs). Presentation on Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management including of GESI was presented by relevant project experts on the final session.
In the final day, the entire session was spent on explaining the AEC structure and working modality by AEC Manager for RERP on component 1.2 that AEC covers. The experts from Central Office of AEC were also invited to facilitate on theme such as Admin, Finance and Business Enterprises Model. On this final day of workshop upcoming market assessment plan and group selection was also discussed, suggestive remarks were collected from all participants particularly from ESC coordinators.
