Tripartite Agreement and Orientation Workshop

Tripartite agreement between Rural Enterprises and Remittances Project (RERP), Agro Enterprise Centre (AEC) under Federation of National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and District Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI) was organized in Biratnagar and in Janakpur. The program was jointly conducted by RERP and Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM), Biratnagar in 13 September 2017 for Koshi-Sagarmatha Corridor Districts. Similarly, RERP together with Janakpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) hosted the program in Janakpurdham in 14 September 2017 for Janakpur Corridor Districts.

The agreement document was signed by Project Manager of RERP, Managing Director of AEC and Presidents of DCCIs namely; Bhojpur CCI, Dhankuta CCI, Khotang CCI, CIM Biratnagar, Saptari CCI, Siraha CCI, Sunsari CCI Dharan, Terathum CCI and Triyuga CCI Udaypur from Koshi-Sagarmatha Corridor and Janakpur CCI Dhanusa, Sindhuli CCI, Okhaldhunga CCI, Rautahat CCI, Malangwa CCI Sarlahi, Jaleshower CCI Mahottari from Janakpur Corridor. Bara CCI could not make their presence in the program due to heavy traffic as an election campaign in Pradesh number two.

Ms. Bhawani Rana, President of FNCCI was the Chief Guest to address the program in Biratnagar and Mr. Kishor Pradhan, Former Vice-President of FNCCI was the Chief Guest in Janakpur. In the agreement signing program, Business Development Specialist Rakesh Kumar Jha from RERP made presentation on the project strategy, implementation modality, budget and funding mechanism along with the roles and responsibilities of the DCCIs. All together 79 participants attended the program in Biratnagar and 57 participants were present in Janakpur including DCCI representatives and media persons. The queries raised in the floor were answered by the RERP team present in both the program and the Presidents of DCCIs expressed their commitment in implementation of RERP/Samriddhi Project.
