Where is the working area of the Project?

The project is being implemented in a corridor approach in 16 districts namely Bara,Rautahat,Sarlahi,Mahottari,Dhanusha,Sindhuli,and Okhaldhunga from Janakpur Corridor and Bhojpur,Khotang,Udaypur,Siraha,Saptari,Sunsari,Morang,Dhankuta and Tehrathum from Koshi/Sagarmatha Corridor.

Who are the potential clients of the Project?

  • 80% of the clients are the active poors who are willing to start their enterprises. Beside this landless individuals,poors,unemployed youth, discreminated dalits,janajati and women are also able to receive direct service;
  • Migrants families and returnees;
  • Existing micro,small cottage Enterprises who still do have potentiality for generating employment;
  • Existing micro enterprises (Registered or non-registered) having potentiality for expansion;

What is the aim of Rural Enterprises and Remittances Project (Samriddhi)?

Rural Enterprises and Remittance Project (SAMRIDDHI) is an IFAD funded project that aims at providing sustainable sources of income to poor households,migrants families and returnees in the Eastern and Central Region of Nepal, by supporting the creation and expansion of family,micro,small and medium rural enterprises, both in farming and off-farming sectors.
