RFP Pre-Proposal Conference For EOI short-listed Training and Employment service providers (T&Es)

A Pre-Proposal Conference for 3 rd round vocational skills training (under sub-component 1.3 Decent Jobs) was organized in Province-1 for the EOI short-listed Consulting Firms on 3rd and 4th of November 2022 where 68 consulting firms participated. Objective of the conference was to orient consulting firms on the TOR of proposal, Rapid Market Appraisal (RMA), understanding the coordination with local government bodies as well as coordination with sub-component 1.1 Supply chain. Mr. Saroj Prasad Guragain, Project Manager of RERP/SAMRIDDHI initiated the conference with opening remarks. He also emphasized on working together with the aim of uplifting the economically poor youths by providing market-oriented quality vocational skills. Mr. Sandip Poudel, Team Leader for Decent Jobs of SAMRIDDHI oriented the participants on process of TOR by explaining all three newly introduced categories (VST Regular, Supply chain (Agriculture), and Through Palika) for the 3 rd round of VST. Mr. Lokendra Rawal, coordinator for Koshi/Sagarmatha corridor introduced and provided a brief scenario of work progress under subcomponent 1.1 Supply chain. Resource persons from HELVETAS Nepal, technical assistance for subcomponent 1.3 Decent Jobs elucidated about the details of technical and financial proposal, its procedure along with legal compliances. Towards the end of programme, RMA conduction and collaboration with local governments for this 3 rd round were oriented in depth to the participants. Mr. Rajendra Prasad Ojha, Account Officer of RERP/SAMRIDDHI concluded the workshop by thanking the participants and clarified the queries raised in the conference. He also, briefly explained on the ethics, procedures as per the procurement act of Nepal Government for short-listed consulting firms for proposal bidding.
