The Project Steering Committee (PSC) representatives and Secretary, Chandra Ghimire RER Project Director and Joint Secretary Yagya Dhungel from Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Supplies (MOICS) made monitoring visit to RER project working areas from 27th to 29th Poush 2077. RER Project Manager, Shalik Ram Dahal together with Project staffs discussed with project beneficiaries in Devangunj of Sunsari and Belhera of Dhankuta. During the field visit the team listened to the farmers, interacted with role model farmers on ─ how RERP facilitation could be further instrumental in supporting farmers at large. The monitoring team also observed Vocational Training including Apprenticeship Training program conducted by big industries where RERP is collaborating with Provience FNCCI and HELVETAS Nepal in creating decent jobs for 30,000 targeted population.
Both the Secretary and Joint Secretary from MOICS, on 29th Poush joined for wrap-up meeting with the RER Project team members at the Project Management Office Itahari-Sunsari. Project staffs together with Project Manager updated on progress and challenges faced during the project implementation. Program was then followed up by presenting project visibility, fact, and figures from the Management Information System (MIS). The MOICS representatives reflected upon field visit impression and on a positive note thanked all the project team members for satisfactory results with the needed direction for the way forward.
