Rural Enterprises and Remittances Project (RERP) is conducting Financial Education and Entrepreneurial Knowledge (FEEK) ToT training program for beneficiaries from Province 1 project working districts. A total of 52 participants who have passed grade 12 are being trained at Dharan for 5 days. The participants for ToT training program are selected one member from the project generated 185 Producer Groups (PGs) that comprises 25 members each for a group in Morang, Sunsari, Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Terhathum, Udayapur, Khotang and Okhaldhunga districts. RER Project is promoting supply chain activities for commodities namely ─ Fish, MAPs, Goat, Vegetable and Diary for project beneficiaries in total 16 working districts.
After completion of training courses trainees will run community-based training programs for PG members. Through RERP developed FEEK program community builds a large base of financially literate savers, investors, and entrepreneurs that influence the scope and level of financial education and business skills most useful to them. The PG members during this FEEK courses in detail learn about commercial and subsistence farming including ideas on savings, planning and banking. This is 30 weeks peer to peer counseling plus 5 weeks facilitated by experts total 35 weeks training courses designed to be implemented one and half hour a day each week.
