Journey of Enterprenurship: Owing a business to employing others
My name is Rakesh Sah aged 25 years old from Golbazar-6, Siraha. Recently, I have completed level one short term vocational training (results waiting). During training period, I started working as a casual worker in an aluminum workshop where I had been taking training. From 7 am to 1 pm I took the training and 1 pm onwards I worked on the workshop.
In April 2019, I heard about the short-term vocational training course going to be held in our area. I started to search means to get in and I came to know the entire program being led by a private technical training service provider namely Trade link Technical Training Institute. Whenever, I saw any technician working on aluminum fabricator I wished to be one of them as I dreamt of owning aluminum shop. Gradually, I asked my family and friends about enrollment in the course, everyone appreciated as well as encouraged me to participate. I filled up the application and got selected for training. Training ran for six hours a day but I spent additional 6 hours per day to learn more.
During onsite training, I did homework for owning a shop and two months later I have opened my own aluminum shop in Golbazar. I have been able to employ additional four people in the workshop. Now people have started to recognize us and give their orders of door, window and ventilation. This initial period has been satisfactory so far.
I am thankful to Samriddhi, Trade Link Technical Institute and other supporting partners who helped me to change my life. I have a technical skill as an aluminum fabricator and would further request the team to provide next level training shortly.
