District Start-Up Workshop Dhankuta

RERP project and Dhankuta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) organized one day district start up workshop in Dhankuta district on 9th October 2017. Recently elected local level personnel, governmental and non-governmental organizations, members of banks and MFIs, media, migration associations, RERP team, and DCCI members attended the workshop. The total 90 composed of 63 male and 27 female were presented at the venue- Chief and Best Hotel, Dhankuta Bazaar.

During the workshop, information was disseminated to district level stakeholders about RERP. Working modality, strategy, cost and financing, funding mechanism, information on project partner and organizations were presented to the stakeholders. This project start up workshop also made further coordination and linkages with various organizations working in enterprises development, livelihood, market and business development, safe migration and financial sector in the districts.

The formal program was chaired by DCCI’s Chairperson. District Coordination Committee's Chairperson was invited as a chief guest. CDO, LDO, DADO as well as representatives from armed forces and journalist association were also presented in the workshop.

Mr Lokendra Rawal Corridor Coordinator--Koshi Sagarmatha Corridor Office Itahari delivered the welcome note to the guests and introduced about RER project. He stressed that the program will be effective to increase entrepreneurial spirit and reduce the frequency of exodus of Nepalese youths towards gulf nations.

Mr Rakesh Jha Business Development Specialist (BDS) made power point presentation on description of RERP and disseminated information about the project.  Workshop participants raised questions from the floor and were addressed by RERP team members.
