Contract Signed for LAM Training & Employment Services

Two events of one-day orientation to 23 Training & Employment Service Providers (T&Es), selected for imparting training and employment services to 1500 unemployed youths of economically deprived groups, have been organized by the team of Technical Assistance for Decent Jobs of SAMRIDDHI. Dividing the T&Es in two groups, the orientation was organized separately for each group on 28^th and 29^th June 2022.  During the orientation the chiefs of T&Es and their representatives were oriented on aspects like introduction of Leading to Apprenticeship Training model, the role of T&Es in effective implementation of training under Leading to Apprenticeship Model (LAM), significance of knowledge management, necessary aspects for ensuring quality training preparation, training delivery and job placement for graduates were the main subjects of the orientation. Meanwhile, the participants were also oriented on overview of contractual obligations. Sharing the experience of ENSSURE project’s involvement in the arena of apprenticeship model trainings, Provincial Manager of ENSSURE for Province-1, was invited to orient the participants on ‘Apprenticeship Training Modality and it’s Practices in Nepal. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Khatri from Project Management Office of SAMRIDDHI visited the participants and encouraged them for quality service delivery. To make the workshop more participatory, group discussion on challenges and way forward to implement apprenticeship was also done. By the end of the orientation workshop, contract with T&Es for delivering trainings and employment services got signed. As per the signed agreement, the T&Es are supposed to start training by the end of August 2022 and complete the training and employment cycle by the end of September 2023.
